    Minus A Serious and A Single Man, which I haven’t seen, I apparently have the taste of a Central Ohio film critic.
    Appreciate the In the Loop shout-out, funniest movie of the year.

    The wrong “UP” finished in the top spot, methinks! Ha! But yes, the inclusion of the Pixar film, as well as the exquisite and haunting A SINGLE MAN and the Coens’ masterwork are bright spots here.

    My two favorite films of the year, BRIGHT STAR and AVATAR are MIA though.

    Basterds before Hurt Locker. Curious. I gotta get ahold of the Hurt Locker DVD and make sure I see it before the awards season kicks into high gear; I’m looking forward to seeing it.

    And a curious absence of Avatar. Finally, yet another group to put the Clooney Schmaltz Fest at numero uno. Because you know, it’s so zeitgeistingly perfect. I don’t think that one’s playing anywhere near me, so maybe I should reserve judgement and shut my cynical trap. It’s just that Clooney. In another suit. Grinning. Augh.
