The NY Times story on Mo’Nique not campaigning deserves mention too

I wonder if that is really going to hurt her chances that profoundly.

I mean that was one of the most incredible performances I’ve ever seen, and if they overlook her for that reason….I have no words.

Christoph Waltz and Mo’Nique were easily the most stunning performances of the year. In fact, the past couple years have been the years for antagonistic supporting roles, which are often the most enjoyable.

I’ve never been a big fan of Mo’Nique and her “I hate skinny bitches” attitude, but she’s a talented woman, and Mary Jones is something I will NEVER forget.

This whole “faith based marketing” thing strikes me as puzzling. The film seems to be actively embarrassed of the true life Christian roots of its story. My question is, how can a screenplay set in a christian school not have the word ‘Jesus’ in it once? That takes some level of effort.
