‘Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer’ trailer

At this point, one of the films I’m most looking forward to is Alex Gibney’s “Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer.” In a year rife with Wall Street fiction and documentation on celluloid, this fits right in and, by all accounts, it’s a masterful piece of work.  The film releases on demand and iTunes October 1, then hits theaters on November 5.  Check out the trailer via Apple by clicking the image below or watch an embed after the jump.

Looks a lot more entertaining than it probably is.

An odd trailer and the music was a bit overbearing, but, Gibney is one of the best documantary filmakers out there combining knowledge and entertainment that I’ll be there.

I saw it at Toronto Film Festival and it is amazing. The audience loved it. It is not only highly entertaining, but brilliantly made–a real film. The sex thing is only the beginning, the real story is how Wall Street and the political machines work. It’s a great film!

I downloaded the film and thought it was great. Gibney is a wonderful director and he weaves a wild story with many layers. You never know what is coming next, or who is really telling the truth. This film really makes you think about how troubled our country is. The Justice Department is so focused on taking Spitzer down while AIG is taking the whole country down. Where should our focus really be? Why do we care who our leaders sleep with as long as they are leading? These issues and many others are raised in the film.
