Good for Billy. He should be giving advice to Ricky Gervais.

I really the silent screen clips. Part of that is because I’ve been hoping to see someone tackle it in our time. But it’s still a cool concept on its own. Swinton, Lawrence and Bardem may be my favorites.

Love the 14 actors; especially Franco, Manville, Cassel, & Swinton.

Can I just say how disappointed I was in Michelle William’s Carey Mulligan hairdo on Jon Stewart last night?

I don’t understand how anyone could want to have Gervais host anything after the way he hosted Golden Globes. I loved him in the Office and thought he could do no wrong but after seeing him present at various ceremonies and talk shows any amount of goodwill I had for him has evaporated . He is literally worse than his character. He is terrible at adlibbing (which isn’t the same as being profane or irreverent) and really isn’t that much of a presense, honestly.

So if they can’t get Crystal himself to want to be there, they should just bring back Ellen. Or even Chris Rock. All imo, of course.

Thought the actors on acting clips were great, makes me wonder if someone will try tackling a silent film. Especially loved Franco’s affair with himself (hilarious), Manville’s phone clip (reminds me of very old, classic Hollywood), and what appears to be a Lawrence audition for Scream 4 (deliciously over-the-top in every good way).

I’ve been hearing more buzz on Kirsten Dunst for All Good Things. What do you think? Maybe Best Supporting Actress nom?

Matt, I think that film has been released on VOD on demand weeks prior to the release in theaters last week.

I would think that, if nothing else, that would disqualify it.

The film was released in theaters in late July for a few days so it would qualify. It certainly is eligible.
