    Now this is a list of noms I can get down with — that Best Actor slate is particularly cool, as, of course, is the Tilda Swinton mention.

    But why does “Broken Embraces” keep showing up in foreign-language lists? That’s lame autopilot voting.

    Year after year the OFCA seem to always nominate a few of my own favorites that aren’t getting much love elsewhere. It’s so nice to see Laurent nominated, and Joaquin Phoenix as well.
