Regarding Oscar’s New Math … and the nomination process ….

Is it that a film must include at least 10% of #1s on the ballots, or #s 1,2 or 3 on the ballots?

Or is it even that? Can someone explain it for me? Thanks!

Tangibly Oscar-related news: Karen O was nominated for a Grammy for her song “All Is Love” from Where the Wild Things Are after Miley Cyrus (who was originally nominated) was disqualified.

I will say this. If a masterpiece like Minority Report cannot get a Best Picture or Best Director nod than you already know what I’m going to say about the rest.
