How about what everyone thought of Mottola’s new film: Adventureland. Following the immense success of Superbad (I don’t think I’ve met a single person that didn’t love it) and bringing in another talented independent cast, Mottola could very well be my generation’s John Hughes.
I just saw the film at a screening and even though it’s definitely nothing like Superbad, it was a fantastic coming-of-age film that throws in just enough romantic comedy to keep it fresh.
Alternatively: How pissed are you about the subtitle fuck up by Magnolia on the Let The Right One In DVD?
What would piss you off most in 2009?
– Mo’nique winning an oscar
– Hilary Swank getting her third oscar
– Transformers 2 not winning best visual effects
– Public Enemies being a bust
– the Pussycat dolls version of “Jai Ho” catching on
– Seth Rogen losing more weight

Which recent trailer has excited you the most?
Where the Wild Things Are
Taking Woodstock
Public Enemies
The Limits of Control
Inglourious Basterds
Away We Go
As we edge closer to the sdummer months, wouldn’t a question on which of the blockbusters are most anticipated, or even which will make the most money might be interesting.
Especially for a crowd that aren’t necessarily blockbuster types.

Which films from the first 3 months of the year will survive to be nominated for Oscars?
Ryan
“What would piss you off most in 2009?

I have not seen the movie. I’m assuming you haven’t as well. If you have and Mo’nique was horrendous then I apologize, but if this is just using your preconceived notion of “Mo’nique” then I call foul. Let’s see if she delivers first (or not) and then make up our minds whether or not she deserved to be nominated/win.
I’m really looking forward to seeing Mo’Nique in ‘Push’. She could pull that off easily, I just hope it’s not too over-the-top evil. She could continue the trend of extremely well portrayed villanous characters that’s been popping up at awards shows these years (Daniel Plainview, Anton Chigurgh, The Joker, Karen Crowder, Richie Cusack, Sweeney Todd, and to a lesser extent Dan White, the young Briony Tallis, Helene McCready and the like.

Which of these poll suggestions would you like to see posted on this site?
What did you think of “Adventureland”?
What would piss you off most in 2009?
Which recent trailer has excited you the most?
Who’s your favorite InContention.com columnist?
Do You Think the Wolverine Leak Will Hurt the Movie’s Box Office?
Who’s your favorite guest star in the past 15 years of “ER”?
What’s your favorite Best Pic winner of the last 5 years?
Woah, Woah, Woah.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m on the Mo’nique train. (lol?) I would find a breakout performance from her to be a totally refreshing twist in the oscar race, i just feel like it would be something that might make people say WTF to see her name on a list with any of the other perceived contenders.
If i voted for what would piss me off most from the options i listed, Mo’nique winning would be my last choice. My first choice would be Swank winning again, for what at this point seems like a typical (yet artfully designed) biopic.

Ask us again in the summer. I’ve got an interesting Pixar-related one.
How about a poll where we get to choose our favorite InContenion columnist. Haha.
“Do You Think the Wolverine Leak Will Hurt the Movie’s Box Office?”
As simple as:
Who’s your favorite guest star in the past 15 years of “ER”?
– Too many to list, but I’ll stick with Julie Delpy.
I like JAB’s poll! Mainly because I loves me my robots and Rogen chunky.
