Not that I actually like Obama or anything. I didn’t like any of the candidates, come to think of it.
Mr. 9
I didn’t vote for Senator Obama, but I stand beside my president no matter what. I’m always proud to be an America, but I’m especially proud today.Congratulations to President-elect Obama.
Patrick
His victory speech just blew me away. We finally have a humble ,articulate, caring human being for a leader.

Couldn’t agree more, Patrick. Mr. 9, you’re basically feeling what I wish I could have felt the past eight years. Here’s to hoping the country heals now.
Barack Obama’s speech just made me well up with tears in pride and happiness.
I’m not even an American, but for someone who watched this election closely, I’m so happy that Barack Obama won. Congratulations to President-elect Obama and Vice President-elect Biden, and may the rest of the world head towards the necessary change for the best.

Question:
Joe Biden was reelected to the Senate in Delaware, correct? Does anyone know what happens with that?
Liz
I mean, he was reelected to the U.S. Senate in his home state of Delaware.
Adam Smith
The governor of Delaware will appoint a replacement. The governor of Illinois will do the same for Obama.
Liz
Ah, thanks. Wasn’t sure if there was a special run-off election or something like that.
Ditto Palin in Alaska if Stevens wins (because he’ll resign immediately after).
Mr. 9
The way I see it – even if you disagree with the president you should support him/her as best you can. It’s hard, I know, when the president’s ideology is different than yours, but that doesn’t make them a bad person. I don’t agree with President Bush on so many issues, but I have enough respect for the office to not call him a criminal (as some people have) or any other unappealing names the man doesn’t deserve. I think this is especially true at a time when Congress has a lower approval rating than the president.
I love this country too much to let one person I may not agree with get me down. Yes, I agree we should criticize our leaders, but name-calling and unfounded accusations cross the line. And if you don’t like the leadership change it, just as we did last night.

I haven’t been this happy about anything in a long time. I have tears in my eyes.
Ryan me too. I am proud to be an American tonight.
hell, I’m a foreigner in America and I have goosebumps.
HELL YEAH!
McCain’s speech is kind of beautiful. It’s a shame it’s being ruined by some of his most awful supporters in the crowd.
I was about to say just that… shame that his crowd betray his words.
Anyone else love that the Obamas are wearing red?
hmm didn’t notice that… commies or out-of-the-closet-conservatives?
hehehehehhehehe
Well, it’s a historic day. No duh.

So much for Obama unifying the country. Look at all that red.
Looks a lot like this one from 2004.

I don´t think Obama is humble.
Anyway, the best speech of that night was McCain
