(from left) James Cromwell and Josh Brolin in W.

And plenty more new “W.” photos right here.  I’m really getting excited for this film all of a sudden…

This could be as good as “The Queen.”

That new trailer is goddamn fantastic! The guy(s) who designed that deserve(s) a raise. Man, if only Stone has managed to bottle the wonderful insanity of that trailer…

As someone who thought The Queen was an insular, unadventurous little pic that should never have made it further than a TV screen, I hope this is rather better.

For me, that script is still cause for concern, but the trailer is a knockout. Clearly Stone still has some fire in his belly.

wow i just watched that trailer, very intriguing. I can’t wait to see elizabeth banks in that. also about the Queen, i was bored stiff, but Helen Mirren kept my attention. The scene with the deer was beautiful.

Dudley Smith is immortal to me, so it’s not a statement on him as an actor, but for some reason James Cromwell as Bush Sr. seems to be one of the only big missteps in the casting here. Hard-pressed to think who I would have cast though.
