Of the five…well, Milk had a greater impact on me, but Slumdog Millionaire was the better-crafted film. Either of those two are acceptable to me, especially since the other three nominees aren’t very good at all.
Mr. F
Benjamin Button
Ryan
If I could put a tie, then it’d be Milk and Slumdog Millionaire. But I will have to go for the latter since out of all the nominees it was the least “Oscar-y” and had an Oscar “campaign” that relied solely on word-of-mouth and later on all the awards it racked up. Oh and the movie is just fantastic all around.

I’ve seen all 5 nominees and my pick would be Slumdog Millionaire.
Slumdog or The Reader. Slumdog was beautiful, The Reader was entertaining and with impact. My 2 favorite films of the years were Revolutionary Road and Doubt, but sadly neither got the credit they deserved (yes, Doubt has acting noms, but I thought it was great overall).
Frank Lee
I haven’t seen “Frost/Nixon.” I enjoyed “Milk.” The other three–not so much.
Mr. Harmonica
Milk.
The best of the films nominated, not that that effects who wins or anything.

Slumdog will win :
A . It is the best film .
B . The year of the underdog
C . Great screenplay , fantastic music , fine technical work , awesome performances & the genius of Danny .
D . Destiny
Honorable mention : MILK
WTF Nominees ? : Ben Button / The Reader ???
WHY ?
[ Sorry , TDK / WALL E /Wrestler ]
Dear lord, The Reader is polling higher than Frost/Nixon. Who are the 19 people that have voted for it and what are they smoking? Easily one of the worst films of the year.
Chris
The Dark Knight should be in The Reader’s place. Much better film.
Anyways, I realize Slumdog will win, but Milk was my favorite of the year and I found it to be the most moving.

I really liked the reader. Actually I have just bought the book and I canВґt stop reading. It was a great adaptation to the screen. On the other hand, I canВґt see why Slumdog is getting all this buzz. The movie is good, but not that great. I donВґt think the future will be kind with this movie.

I honestly don’t care anymore because TDK is not nominated. But I have to say something. I just got done watching The Reader and it is by far the most mediocre, forgetful film I’ve seen all year. What the fuck was the Academy thinking when they picked that film. And honestly, Winslet was decent at best. I just don’t get it.

Out of the 5, it’s The Reader for me. It was a masterful storytelling.

I think Slumdog Millonaire win this year.

Slumdog will win, Curious Case should win.

I have no problems about Slumdog winning.
Milk is the film that should win
Button would be a welcome upset to Slumdog.
