I think what’s holding Nolan back from a directing nomination is not having an interview with you.
Haha. Congrats, Kris!
Damn you’ve been busy
Not just me. Many of these are Gerard and Guy, of course.
At any rate, In Contention is obviously the key. ;)
Seriously, it’s the great work all three of you do that keeps me coming back. Everyday. Dozens of time a day. Until I drive my husband crazy. Because I’m not talking to him. Because I have to read In Contention.
Thanks for being such an awesome site, guys.
Man, this is why I can’t stand it when you guys complain about the season being slow and boring and blah blah blah. The Scorsese and Leo interviews aren’t even listed here, you lucky bastards.
So lame that those two scrubs/zombies got nominated over Chris Nolan. I’m talking about the Cohen bros. if you didn’t get the hint. Those guys are so boring and their movies reflect that; True Grit is so boring. The music is coma-inducing.
Pete,
Normally I would disagree with you, and I wouldn’t use your exact wording either way per se, but True Grit was a pretty average to unspectacular movie that in no way should be up for Best Picture AND definitely not Best Director.
Looking forward to a Banksy interview in the future… :)
A great collection, Kris. And a terrific job by you and the team.
You’re a lucky guy; these are some big names you interviewed.
