The new releases finally took the top spots this week, but “True Grit” is chugging along, “The King’s Speech” went wider and is padding its wallet and “Black Swan” will be one of Fox Searchlight’s top grossers when all is said and done.

Somebody please explain to me, why Yogi Bear is still in the top ten.
all the explanation in the world could never explain how “Yogi Bear” was able to make over 80 million.
so happy of the success of “The King’s Speech”, and my favorite film of the year “Black Swan”. That film’s success shouldn’t be taken for granted, who would have thought a psychological thriller with ballet would be making the money that it is.
I want to see The King’s Speech so badly now.
The King’s Speech finally hit my local theatre this weekend so I’ll see it soon.
Green Hornet was honestly kind of fun. I mean, it’s definitely not that great compared to say, The Dark Knight, but it’s way more fun than bombs like The Spirit.
Black Swan was destined for success – at last here was a movie men were not afraid to see because of its subject matter (even if they would have wanted to anyway).
black swan’s numbers speaks for its self. I think its pretty epic that true Grit is very likely going to out gross its rival little fockers
Even as a fan of “Black Swan”, it is shocking to me that it will most likely reach 100 million. I was thinking half of that when it first opened.
Saw The Green Hornet. Not great, but I had a good time with it. Several laughs and some insanely awesome action sequences. It will probably end up being superhero film of the year besides X-Men: First Class.
Glanton, I think you’re forgetting that Captain America, Thor, and Green Lantern are all coming out this year. I’m personally betting on the latter being the big superhero movie of the year.
Green Hornet was awful! I see why it was moved to January. Funny how Yogi Bear has made over 80 million and I don’t know a single person who has seen it! And it really is great to see so many exceptional films like The Fighter, Black Swan, True Grit, and King’s Speech do so well at the box office!
Finally got to see “The King’s Speech” this weekend; was drawing very good crowds in this part of Canada, much like its performance in other Commonwealth realms.
The King’s Speech was awesome. One of the most genuinely likable films I’ve ever seen. Even looking at stills of these characters on an FYC ad, it’s hard not to smile.
Al b, do you know anyone with kids? Because that’s who are seeing “Yogi Bear”.
*Glanton, I think you’re forgetting that Captain America, Thor, and Green Lantern are all coming out this year.*
Those all look like garbage.
Though I think Chris Hemsworth as Thor may be the best of the 3 guys …. I think Capt. America and Green Lantern will do better.
Saw Green Hornet opening night with my sis. Really just a big letdown considering the talent involved. Great actors, writers, directors, martial artists, etc, and it really underwhelmed. It was in no way the grotesque disaster everyone forcasted, but it needed way more action sequences with Jay Chou, a lot more visual creativity from Gondry, and a lot more development and screentime for Christoph Waltz. But, what a way to waste such an awesome actor.
