Back during the pre-holiday build of Tech Support Interviews with the below-the-line talent of Joel and Ethan Coen’s “True Grit,” you’ll recall my conversation with Mary Zophres on the costumes of the film. Today we’ve got a nifty featurette for you built around the threads of the film. It makes for a nice reminder that, one week from today, the Costume Designers Guild will announce it’s nominees:

Great feature. TG’s costumes are solidly in my top 5 of the year (with Alice, King’s Speech, Burlesque, and Robin Hood). The Way Back may bump Robin Hood out when I see it.
God, the music in this film was awful. Sounded like something a drunk, depressed pianist would play at a hotel restaurant.
I sure hope Zophres gets a nomination this year. She’s been a favourite for a long time (much thanks to her Coen collaborations), and it sucks having to have seen her getting passed over again and again.
Carter Burwell’s score was fantastic.
