Looking the circuits, i think that so far the race looks this way:
PICTURE: THE SOCIAL NETWORK.
DIRECTOR: DAVID FINCHER.
ACTOR: COLIN FIRTH.
ACTREES: NATALIE PORTMAN.
S. ACTOR: CHRISTIAN BALE.
S. ACTRESS: MELISSA LEO.
A. SCREENPLAY: THE SOCIAL NETWORK.
O. SCREENPLAY: INCEPTION OR THE KING’S SPEECH.
I have to admit that i have my doubts with Annette Bening, but if she wants to win, she needs to win the Critics Choice Awards, The Golden Globe ( That´s an easy one, in the comedy category ) and the SAG, all like Sandra Bullock last year. If she loses that awards, specially Critics Choice and the SAG, it will be the end for her, and will be an easy winnning for Portman.
In the original screenplay, i believe that T.K.S. have a little bit more of a chance than Inception,
and maybe this one be recognize more in the technical categories.

Kris, do you think that some (most) of these groups are more concerned about matching Oscar or do you really think that everyone has essentially the same taste?

Do you think that this year Portman has a better shot at winning than had Rourke had two years ago?
And if so, does this have anything to do with “Black Swan” being a likely best Picture nominee (even as “The Wrestler” would have had a shot in a ten picture field, too)?
Sorry for the extra clauses above – they sort of make the question for me.
The Z
Starting with the zzzzz… already? But we’ve got another two months of this.

I’m loving the Scott Pilgrim love in these.
And having now seen Black Swan I am soooooo happy with Portman winning everything.

Kris are you sure you didn’t copy paste the same thing for all the 3 awards? :P
