At least Daft Punk got recognition from some committee.

Does this all but cinch the win for Desplat?

I knew the film music fan base will do justice to obvious best score of the year. It’s so ahead of any other score this year.

It’s not “so ahead” of the other scores, but it is certainly underrated. And it’s a shame it’s the least likely to win.

I would have preferred if The Ghost Writer won, but Dragon is also a worthy winner. Here’s hoping for an upset this Sunday.

I don’t see how. “How to Train Your Dragon” was the winner, and neither it or “The King’s Speech” were up against “The Social Network.”

Such a better lineup than the Academy’s. And such a shame that it looks like Desplat is going to win his first Oscar for one of his weakest scores. Especially when he also had “The Ghost Writer” in play.

I’m so happy that How to Train Your Dragon won Film Score of the Year. It might not win at the Oscars, but at least it got recognized by the people who actually know a thing or two about music.

Desplat won Best Composer and it won Best Drama score. So it didn’t get shut out.

Amen to all the comments so far. Dragon deserves this and the Oscar, and it’s a shame it’ll only get one of them.
