Maybe my favorite award-related announcement of the year. Michael Kahn is an amazing editor.

Amazing that Nolan has been getting awards like this all year and yet the director’s branch of the Academy still can’t get on board.

To quote Kris from earlier today: there are no words.

It’s a real shame nobody knows about Michael Kahn. He is a legend in his field, probably the best editor ever.

I am so glad he’s getting some publicity with this.

Michael Kahn really is a master at the craft. Spielberg’s status as a master of suspense is largely indebted to Kahn. They’re a fantastic team.

His work in “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and “Munich” in particular are incredible.
