A new trailer has dropped for Jason Reitman’s “Up in the Air,” considerably more broad than the one the director conceived as an internet exclusive teaser, but still very much on the nose for the film’s tone and rhythms. Furthermore, the final moments feature the Sad Brad Smith song “Help Yourself,” which will more than likely be in the hunt for an original song nomination as it plays over a portion of the film, as opposed to the closing credits title track.
Here’s the new trailer (see it in HD here):

Reitman blends humor with humanity in his movies. I love the trailer — and the song is catchy.
Still looks absolutely terrific. LOVED the new trailer. Not as amazing as the first one, but amazing still.
Anna Kendrick: I don’t even think of him that way. He’s old!
George Clooney: *looks in mirror*
Thought it was a great trailer. Preferred it to the first one… now I’m actually thinking this’ll be a great movie as opposed to just a decent one
I wasn’t sure I would be interested in this film after watching the first trailer but now I am sure. I want to see this movie.
Of course they serve different purposes but I prefer the first trailer. The second one could have been a bit shorter on plot and longer on mood.
I guess i’ll be the 6th person to say it but….this one certainly doesnt have the magic that the teaser had…but still looks decent.
First trailer was definitely much better.
With this trailer, I have the feeling I’ve seen this story told before.
The teaser, though, didn’t get across anything about the movie or character. It shows Clooney giving a speech in his “before” period. The way it ends on the “We’re sharks” line seemed misrepresentative to me.
This trailer is a bit more conventional, yes, but it seems more fitting, and does a better job of conveying the mood of the film.
I got the felling that Up in the Air is becoming very slowly in the frontrunner of this oscar season, not yet, but is in that way. I believe that the film can easily win best picture, director, screenplay, and some technichal awards like editing and song. The actors ( Clooney, Kendrick and Farmiga ) will be nominated, but not win, i see winnng this categories to Colin Firth and Mo’Nique.
I stopped watching after 30 seconds because I got the feeling if I watched the whole thing, there would be no need to see the actual movie.
I got more excited watching this. There was more showing of the humor but also still had the emotion and the intriguing looking characters especially Clooney and Kendrick.
The movie looks awesome. I watched the trailer three times and I can’t get that third song from the trailer out of my head. This should have a great soundtrack as well.
My friend Kevin Renick wrote the title track for this film
like the song at 1:39 is any ideas?
