Last month I briefly wrote up Nicolas Winding Refn’s “Bronson” out of the Los Angeles Film Festival. As we approach the 2009 awards season, it still remains one of the best films of the year, in this viewer’s opinion. Audacious, twisted and featuring an instantly classic performance by actor Tom Hardy. A new trailer has been released. Take a look:

I pretty much disliked this one the first time around, but buzz has been so strong I gave it another shot and liked it even less.
Stylish? Yes. Energetic? Yes. Entertaining? mostly I guess. But it all felt so empty and pointless.
I hate this trailer.
The original UK trailer was much better.
As far as performance, Tom Hardy delivered the best of the year.
As far as movie, it was ok. Better than most, but not great.
