‘The Cooley Zone’

Those who’ve followed the site long enough are well aware that I’m a football guy.  The kind that watches the NFL network throughout the off-season to find out what the “10 Greatest Quaterback Controversies of All Time” might be, or to get 100% filled in on pre-draft news and notes.  It’s in my blood.

Anyway, the schedules were announced yesterday, which has me poking around the usual corners of the web to get NFL tid-bits here and there, and of course, anything on my squad: the Washington Redkins.

Which brings me to this hilarious extended preview of a web series that may or may not be developed in full.  “The Cooley Zone” features Redskins tight end Chris Cooley (who, despite his “what’s up, bra” exterior, genuinely seems to be one of the coolest dudes on the planet).  I got a kick out of this, so I figured I had to share.  (The framed portrait of Cooley and his ex-cheerleader wife is hilarious.)

Have a look:

Wow, I don’t even know where to start. Top 3 favorite things about that video:

    1) his wife actually considers throwing a beer bottle and/or a rock at a hornets nest which is situated right next to a window.

    2) Cooley screaming, “you’re unbelievable” at the sports talk radio announces who had just called the Redskins’ lack of preparation, you guessed it, “unbelievable.”

    3) Cooley seems to be like Randall “Pink” Floyd or Don Dawson all grown up, complete with the car. Amazing.

Surprisingly compelling, although I’m not sure why you’d frame pictures of your wife in a bikini in your poker room where all your guy friends can ogle her. His wife is one hot moron though.

My goodness. How do you have time to follow the NFL season AND the Oscar season? I’m impressed.
