I’ve already expressed my admiration for “Sugar,” the wonderful new baseball-oriented social drama from “Half Nelson” creators Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden. So has Kris. This trailer possibly makes the film look a little broader and more conventional than it really is, but I can assure you it’s going to be one of the year’s finest. (Thanks to Nick for the tip.)

I keep trying to decide if I would see the film based on that or not. It certainly makes it look more conventional than it is but it also reminds me of how great some scenes are.
