Not a “Collateral” fan?
Sure I am. I called it an inspired pick didn’t I?
I completely misread that sentence. I thought you meant that #1 and #6 had no business being on any list. Duh.
I’m a big fan of the movie too. Glad it was recognized.
*I’m saying “duh” to myself, not to you. Sorry, I’m having some trouble expressing myself today.
LOL, no worries. I figured that was the case.
and a #6 that has no business on any top 10 list
6 has business being on top ten lists!
Kris, I thought you were really disappointed by Collateral, for some reason.
I was but it’s grown on me somewhat. It’s still flawed, IMO, but I do think it’s an inspired choice to put it at the top of this list. I might have gone with “JFK” without thinking.
Even after thinking, JFK would be my pick. ;)
One thing that will always amaze me is how Cruise and the cinematography was overlooked. It amazes me that this will (almost certainly) be the first year a digital film is nominated for cinematography.
