I’m out of town this week, family stuff, in and out, so an easy poll this time around (and, admittedly, a rather thin one…back on my ‘A’ game next week, I swear).
Tell us what you thought of Ben Stiller’s “Tropic Thunder,” which has been embraced by critics more than I anticipated.
By the way, it seems most readers are anticipating a Best Picture nod for “The Dark Knight,” but it was awfully close throughout the week.

I really didn’t care for the film. Overly boring bits with humor that I found more suitable for teenagers. Also, despite the characters being cliches, I would’ve liked SOME development out of Alpa and that Undeclared Kid. Jack Black was, surprisingly, funny though. And the trailers in the beginning were easily the best part of the experience for me.
It was good, I enjoyed it, but think I liked Pineapple Express more…
I loved it! I thought, like you Kris, that Tom Cruise’s cameo was amazing. Robert Downey Jr. should be nominated right there with Heath Ledger. Yes I said it.
Ledger would win, though. Duh.
I hated it. Tries to get all of its laughs from easy targets and fails. Thought Downey Jr. was not that great and Tom Cruise was embarrassing. I liked Black, of all people.
