Looks GREAT. I absolutely LOVED Polar Express as a perennial Christmas classic (watch it every year) but personally didn’t care for Beowulf. This looks to be similar to the former. Anyway, I don’t think Carrey’s ever stepped wrong (not even in Number 23, even though the film was awful) and that certainly doesn’t seem to be the case here. We’ll have to see the whole thing though. Can’t wait.

The Uncanny Valley strikes again.

O man, I was just getting excited for this
André
the animation looks straight out of a PlayStation ONE (!) game.
let’s hope this is a work-in-progress thing…

Not a lot of reinterpretation as far as sets, costumes, scene composition go. We have watched this version of Marley’s epiphany about 1,000 times.
Also, why the close up tracking shots of lockboxes? Silly.

Give Zemeckis another 5 or so motion capture films till they start looking good…

Wow. The animation looks horrible, and Carrey, just based on the one line he says, will not be good.
Didn´t liked. But is it only 20 seconds
I liked the delivery of the line (for what it’s worth) but the animation looks very much like Beowulf. I liked Beowulf but I’d like this to be better.
This isn’t as good as I thought I’d be.
