I was at a benefit last year in honor of Billy Crystal, in which Robin Williams and Whoopi Goldberg spoke. All three agreed that, if asked, they would co-host next year’s Oscar telecast in some sort of Comic Relief reunion. So, uh, both you and Anne and any other blogger listening— make that happen.

I’m afraid it would detract from the true ceremony.
Not only that, but I’ve never liked Whoopi as host. And Robin Williams has absolutely no filter and constantly hogs the spotlight in the most obnoxious way. It would detract from the ceremony even if it was just him as host.
Ya, ya… blah blah blah.
OK, Kris – onto more interesting things… like your year ahead predictions (we ALL love them… even if they’re a stab – and they can be as low-key as you want them to be… please?)
i would love to see alec baldwin and tina fey host.
Clearly, people are going to complain about the host choices NO MATTER WHAT.
Make it happen.
And what abou Robert Downey Jr?
I’m still commandeering the Steven Wright for Oscar host bandwagon solo (I believe). Anyone willing to hop aboard (the more industry pull the better) is welcome.
And I’m really only about 20% joking.
(Sigh) I guess this lonely rider will just have to feed the horses and prepare to keep trekking on.
