Go see Piranha 3D now before Ving Rhames makes you see it yesterday.

The promotion for the movie is way better than the film itself, which has a poor 3D conversion no better than the one seen with Clash of the Titans and which doesn’t get the B-movie tone right until the last 20 minutes or so. I think My Bloody Valentine and even The Final Destination are better are among recent 3D horror films (but for Destination that is mainly due to impressive 3D effects, I saw a little bit of the film on HBO recently and it seems to play very poorly in 2D).
