But in his rollicking new book “Star: How Warren Beatty Seduced America” (Simon & Schuster), biographer Peter Biskind hazards a guess about the conquests of Hollywood’s most notorious lothario — based, he says, on “simple arithmetic.”
Biskind estimates “12,775 women, give or take, a figure that does not include daytime quickies, drive-bys, casual gropings, stolen kisses and so on.”
Alright, so, assuming, naively, one per day, 365 days/year, that’s roughly 32 straight years. Daily. Now let’s just assume two per day. That’s 16 straight years. We’re talking every…single…day.
Obviously the math is much more complicated than all of that, because you can bank on any given lost weekends of 10-20 different mates or something, but even then — 12,000? REALLY? Stuff like this just…fascinates me. I’m reminded of similar awe when Wilt Chamberlain’s number was thrown around back in the day. What does the math that would yield that number even LOOK like?

All that, and he ended up with Annette Bening.
There’s a lesson there somewhere. I don’t know what.
first of all, I doubt that number is correct. Especially considering the lack of action in the past 20 years. he couldn’t have cheated more than… 20-40 times let’s say (cause the marriage is still going)
well, it’s easier if you are beautiful. or carry big things. or being beautiful AND gay. It’s much easier for gay guys to reach such a number
1 a day seems low. If you are famous and it isn’t three a day, you are doing it wrong.
is beatty really *that* good looking?
@ Guy:
LOL. Too funny and probably true.
LOL James D. – LOL!!!
I never saw what the fuss was regarding Warren Beatty. He’s average looking. It’s sad that so many women will screw a man with more than $10 in his wallet. The hell?
He’s so vain. But perhaps he just has a rare disorder called Proposagnosia, or the inability to remember people’s faces, in which everytime he met Anette Bening, he might think she’s someone he’s meeting for the first time. Then I might believe that he at least thinks he’s had over 12,000 women, most of em just happened to look a lot like the Columbia Pictures logo.
He’s so vain. He probably thinks this post is about him.
Warren Beatty’s head looks like one of those orange and clove pomander decorations somehow attached to a tuxedo.
I would never let a man that bizarre-looking come anywhere near my danger zone.
Sorry Mr. Beatty, but I shan’t be your 12,776th.
I wish I was alive in the ’60s for him to experiment with.
