The SAGs usually nominate someone that is not being nominated frequently by the other awards… I wonder if that will happen this time? I had a feeling that Max Records could score a nomination for Where The Wild Things Are. The SAGs like nominating kids and he was outstanding.
Or maybe Robert Downey Jr for Sherlock Holmes. I wish 500 Days of Summer gets a Best Ensemble nom. It would be great. OK, enough daydreaming!
I predict: Nine, Precious, Inglorious Basterds, Up in the Air and _____________, for Best Ensemble. [Star Trek?]

Thoughts before bed:
– I’m not seeing Emily Blunt here, as much as she charmed the audience at the SAG screening I attended…
– …but Nine and its stable of stars, on the other hand, should do well.
– RE: The Private Lives of Pippa Lee. Fun fact #1: No film starring Keanu Reeves has ever been nominated for a SAG Ensemble Award. Fun fact #2: Diane Keaton (Something’s Gotta Give) is the only actor ever to be nominated for a SAG Award for a performance in a film co-starring Keanu Reeves.
– I’m very curious to see how SAG responds to sc-fi (Star Trek, Avatar, District 9) and the UK (An Education, Bright Star, The Last Station, The Young Victoria) this year.
– Precious, The Hurt Locker and Inglorious Basterds could go either way, but I believe the follow-the-leader factor will work in Mo’Nique’s and Waltz’s factor.
– No one I know has seen The Blind Side. Hmm. “But she is beloved.”
– Up in the Air and Matt Damon will dominate. No comment.

If The Young Victoria gets nominated for anything I think this website and others will explode. Suicidal fanboys will appear.
I wouldn’t mind it though, I thought the movie was OK. At least it’s much better than The Blind Side.

I’d like to think Saiorse Ronan might slip in for ‘The Lovely Bones’ here. But probably wishful thinking.
Oops, I meant Saoirse.
Matt Damon might get two nominations IMO. Don’t know about The Lovely Bones. I think it’s fashionable not to like it.
@ Ross: I thought Melanie Laurent was considered a lead?
The campaign for Laurent was for a Lead nomination indeed.
Meryl Streep for J & J all the way!
