Thanks to Bryan for sending it in:

Check out Penelope Cruz’s appearance on Letterman after the jump. And FYI, the entire cast will be on Oprah today.

I simply cannot wait to see this movie! The cast of the film will be on Oprah today so I’m sure we’ll see some more of the film during that show (hopefully we’ll find out if Daniel Day Lewis can sing).

This accent sounds like an Italian Bill the Butcher

Can’t wait to see the Oprah interview. This film is going to be amazing. I’m loving Day Lewis’ accent, but Nicole’s is…blegh.

And LOL at Penelope’s ‘Ill be here waiting for you, with my legs open’

Nicole’s sounds fine to me, but it’s apparently been a source of derision for quite a few people. A lot of it stems from them thinking her character is Italian, but they supposedly changed it to Swedish. After hearing her in the trailer I’m not sure where she is supposed to be from, but I don’t mind it. lol

They chaged the character’s name from “Claudia Nardi” to “Claudia Jenssen”, so that pretty much settles that. And I’m getting the impression that she gets to play up her public persona almost to the point of playing Margot Channing minus a few years. Which is just fine by me.

They probably just changed Kidman’s character to be from whatever country she could do an accent of.

    Cruz, again, looking faaaantastic.

speaking of TV spots I’ve been seeing Brothers tv spots all the time, and saw one for Invictus just now.

“I’ll be waiting with my legs open.”

Subtle. I’m so glad that the roles for women are changing these days.
