The Hangover for Best Picture is happening. The highest grossing R comedy ever, plus very positive critical acclaim, makes it a possibility, while ten nominees makes it a certainty.

Ugh, that Karger piece made me crazy and you gave it top billing!

So lazy and copy and paste from articles from the summer. That 10 nominee business sure through the media for a loop. Everyone has basically predicted everything for a best picture nomination at some point since.

I wouldn’t say CERTAINTY. I just don’t see many people listing that at #1 or #2–same goes for Star Trek, as much as I WANT that to happen.

Karger has never been the most savvy of prognosticators, oftentimes doubting indie contenders (repeatedly) in favor of bigger names. Perhaps the BP 10 will boost his early-predix record, but it just seems like wishful thinking to me.

The is no link for the Agora line.

Anyway, it probably won’t get Up, who is the highest grossing movie in Spain in the last 3 years, the highest grossing animated movie ever in Spain, and it made the Top-10 of all-time highest grosses ever in Spain.

That list of directorial doubles is just terrible. No Ingmar Bergman (Wild Strawberries/Seventh Seal), Curtiz (Yankee Doodle Dandee/Casablanca), Coppola (The Conversation/The Godfather II)?

Hell, even Mel Brook’s Blazing Saddles/Young Frankenstein duo. Yet we have Clint Eastwood’s Changeling/Gran Torino? Boo-urns.

Please, can we not have “The Hangover” be nominated? kthnxbai!

That list makes a great visual laxative.
