The posters for Lionsgate’s “Precious” have been sublime so far, and even though this image — from a Toronto cocktail reception invite — isn’t a poster image, I wanted to pass it along because it’s equally indicative of an intriguing visual strategy for the film:

It’s too bad it’s not being used as a poster. Very intriguing.
I’m curious to hear your full thoughts on the film Kris, will a review be up soon?
Seriously – give us a Best Poster oscar. This film would blow any others out of the water.
andrew: At some point, maybe. Lots on my plate and I want to take my time with that if I get around to it at all.
Very cool! All the posters thus far for the film have been top notch! Kudos to the marketing team. I hope the film is as good as the marketing has been so far.
I can’t wait to see this. Whenever I do that.
I think the crown is a bit much, but quite intriguing. And yes, if there was an Oscar for best poster, this year would be Precious vs. Where The Wild Things Are and perhaps Antichrist.
Who says this won’t be a poster?
British quad, perhaps?
