I can’t remember seeing nipples on a Hollywood movie poster ever. Is this poster for use in the US or Europe?

I haven’t watched either of the trailers yet as I generally make a point to ignore trailers outside of before actual movies I’m seeing… but on a purely visual level, this just reinforces my opinion that the trilogy doesn’t need to be remade as an English language series.

The first film, though, purely by default of the story’s strength, will be the best of the three. Even in its native tongue, the second and (even more so) third films were go-nowhere messes.

I’m glad David is winning the battle to keep this film as dark and raw as it possibly can be…including the marketing.

The marketing campaign is certainly intriguing. It’s even drawing in people who disliked the original versions.

    Desperate, unnecessary and unimaginative.

Thank you Hollywood for not making Daniel Craig look like a heartthrob. He looks the part here and that makes me very happy.

    And. Hot.

She doesn’t look like she’s inhabited the role–looking uncomfortable with the make-up/costume.

What is Daniel Craig holding in his right hand?

Not going to be a popular response but it just looks incredibly cheap to me on every level.

The adveritising for this film so far done nothing but turn me off.

At the end of the day, the film is still based on a bad book. Can that be overcome?

Sure, if the people behind it is talented enough to make it really interesting. Have a little faith.

You guys better watch out. The Fincher fanboys will verbally assault you for criticising their cinematic deity.

The most valid criticism I can come up with is that this pose is not in keeping with Lizbeth’s persona. It appears submissive, while Blomkvist’s stance is protective, when in fact in the books he’s never able to prevent any of the terrible shit that happens to her.

Looking at it strictly aesthetically, I think it’s compelling.

the first movie was wonderful. Especially the girl was a perfect player.

Second movie was also perfect, Lisbeth was not as psycho as she was in the previous version… But still was good…
