I’ve been a bit sluggish in getting recent guild news out there. I think I’m already closing up shop in my mind. Nevertheless, the Motion Picture Sound Editors and Costume Designers Guild have announced winners this week. The latter infuriatingly keeps things a guessing game in that Oscar field.

Well the costume designers certainly didn’t shake things up at all, and we didn’t gain any more clarity in the race between TKS and “Alice”. I still predict the former, but the later, especially when considering their choices as of late, is seeming a more likely winner every second.
Lately, I’m thinking Alice or Inception art direction and TKS costumes.
I know Guy covered the International Cinephile Society Awards on this site but they are not listed on the Circuit. I’m not sure if it’s something you guys want preserved there, just thought I’d point it out.
There were also a couple of much smaller awards given in the last couple of weeks.
So, yeah, not sure where you draw the line.
