I tossed up the nine films that made the most sense and an “other” field.  Let us know in the left sidebar what you think.

Despite the fact that, no matter what, Nine will most likely garner numerous nominations in the tech categories, are all of you completely ignoring the fact that it’s being panned by critics? Even moreso than Lovely Bones. It’s down to 26% on Rottentomatoes. As far as I’m concerned it’s out of the Picture, Director, and Screenplay races.

I’m not ignoring that, I can assure you =). Prior to this surfacing, I had Inglourious Basterds outside somewhere between #11-15. I’ve now bumped that up way higher, and plummeted Nine.

    My predix at the moment:
    (500) Days of Summer
    Avatar
    An Education
    The Hurt Locker
    Inglourious Basterds
    Invictus
    Precious
    A Serious Man
    Up
    Up in the Air

I begrudgingly re-added Invictus, which I left off for a while (despite the biopic trend), but I’d like to think a surprise is in store with either Crazy Heart and/or one of the other sci-fi flicks, namely District 9 (but possibly Star Trek) snagging that spot.

Methink the 10th spot will go to either 500 Days, District 9, or The Messenger.
