I’m liking this. Nice to see Lee getting a bit playful again — I think a lot of people have forgotten what a neat little comedy The Wedding Banquet was. The man simply won’t be pigeonholed.

Seems interesting – though I sense Focus Features might be pulling a ‘Happy-Go-Lucky’ with the trailer (if you know what I mean).

This looks like a surprising lot of fun. Very interested to see which will attract bigger business, Woodstock or The Boat That Rocked.

I agree… this looks better than I expected. Lesson learned: Never doubt Ang Lee. It’ll just make him angry, and you wouldn’t like him when he’s angry…

I think in the US Woodstock will be a bigger draw…

It looks interesting enough, I will give it a shot but I have a soft spot for hippies.

My sister saw a test screening a few weeks back but was not too impressed (I have much different, and better I think, taste in movies that she does but comedies we are pretty similar)

I was expecting more from the trailer. And I didn´t liked Demitri, he don´t seem a great leading role. On the Oscar: best adapted screenplay, director, supporting actress and maybe film. Nothing else.

I think that Ang Lee may get the nomination easly, even when Scorcese, Clint, Peter Jackson and Michael Mann are in the competion. Now, picture…I dont think so.

Yeah, I think WINNING best pic seems a little doubtful, but ya never know. I’m sure Focus will come out swinging.

Could be a slamdunk nod for Schreiber.

So I read the book thanks to the movie, and I must say, I hope the trailer is misleading. I liked the first 40-ish% of the book which focused on his horrible family and the travails and suffering of homosexuals in the 60’s (legally sanctioned abuse, etc.), but the majority of the book was prep for/during Woodstock, which wasn’t that interesting. Maybe it’s just because I’m not much of a hippie or something? Though I go to Berkeley.

Anyway, I hope they do focus on his life more than the trailer implies. This is still my personal favorite to win BP, if only because the other leadings prospects I have little to no interest in.

Schreiber isn’t what I pictured Vilma to look like…too manly, not drag enough.

This is a shoe in for a SAG ensemble nomination.

This doesn’t strike me as a movie that will do well at the Oscars.

Doesn’t look like your typical Ang Lee movie, but I’m curious to see it anyway.
