So, it came to my attention over the weekend that a number of Internet Explorer users were having trouble accessing the site. It’s been difficult to dig into the matter since I’ve been knee deep in the Santa Barbara fest, but after a back and forth with the folks at my server company, I think I’ve tracked it down to a plugin we activated Thursday to help with traffic issues — which I’ve obliterated from the face of the earth with extreme prejudice.
But I have to say, I’m really sorry to those who haven’t been able to read the updates the last four days, perhaps the most important time frame of the season. The bright side is, there are tons of updates here at your disposal, so kill a few hours reading Guy’s SAG live-blogging or my Santa Barbara Film Festival coverage. And please accept my apologies. A regrettable bummer.

THANK YOU! It’s been totally confusing. I could access the site on my Blackberry but not on my laptop. I dumped the cookies, ran virus scans, restarted the computer… it never occured to me the problem was with the site. Please take some pride in the fact that your site was missed and its return is appreciated.
Thank Jeebus. I curse that damn plugin. I thought it was an error on my end. Whew! Glad to be back to reading In Contention, I missed it.

Great! I’ve been trying every day since Thursday and just couldn’t figure out what was going on. I just came to the conslusion that the site overheated with anger after the Oscar noms. ;-D

Either that or Kris was so upset about the TDK Best Pic snub that he just shut down the site.
