As anticipated earlier this week. Great trailer. Greater film. That Springsteen theme actually brings a lump to my throat.

That trailer certainly makes it out to be a Best Picture candidate, and Rourke our winner. Great fucking trailer for a great fucking movie.
Trailer looks amazing. I can’t wait to see it. Remarkable looking movie
Looks very good, surprising tender and moving it seems. Rourke looks phenomenal as expected, Tomei looks great as well, and that song is just marvelous and I haven’t even seen the movie yet. Another win for Springsteen?
Great trailer for those of us that have seen and love the movie…but I think it shows a couple moments too many that are really special that shouldn’t have been teased.
Why am I reminded of Rachel Getting Married when I watch this? Maybe it’s the last scene which is similar to the dish race in RGM? (as-in seemingly pointless, emphasis on seemingly). Although it does look very good. I really want Frost/Nixon to fail and this to take its place.
i feel like they just showed me every pivotal moment in the film. DAMMIT.
I’m getting chills man…chills
My gosh. What a breathtaking trailer.
Rourke looks…is there a word for it? Cannot wait for this to come out.
“Why am I reminded of Rachel Getting Married when I watch this?”
Uh, I have no idea. I can tell you that the films have nothing in common whatsoever. And that last scene is just a brief throwaway bit in the film.
I’ve had a Best Picture and/or Director feeling about this for a while, I must say. (Nominations only, let me stress.) I think it could do very well at the critics’ awards.
Great trailer, cant wait to see it. Necro Butcher, The Cat were some of the wrestlers i saw.
Now this is truly a great trailer which actually made me want to watch the film ASAP. It’s so much better than the poster…
i cannot wait to see this…looks fantastic…o, and after seeing it, do you think there’s any chance of a best supporting actress nomination for evan rachel wood? she looks great in the trailer, although it seems that category is heading in marisa tomei’s way…
I can already tell it’s going to be near impossible to not well up during Rourke’s conversation with his daughter.
It looks……alright. Penn is going to kick Rourke’s ass. Suck it.
@ Aaron: I personally doubt it. Wood gives an affecting little performance, for sure, but her screen time is limited and she doesn’t have that many dramatic notes to play.
Tomei has a more substantial character and she knocks it out the park. She deserves recognition more, in my opinion.
best song win, actor nomination, supporting actress nomination.
that song really is something.
Searchlight creative team and their vendors are some of the best in the business.
Looks great…hope they can juggle release/awards campaigning with Slumdog Millionaire (and then get ready for wide release of Notorious B.I.G. MLK weekend.
WWE Smackdown tonight, and Survivor Series PPV this weekend from Boston with the return of local hero, John Cena
Man, the trailer reminded me of how terrible that boss character is.
