I was asleep for the live transmission a few hours ago — though I understand there were some technical issues — but no doubt many of you caught the (beautifully) Terry Gilliam-directed webcast of Arcade Fire’s Madison Square Garden gig. I look forward to catching up with the whole thing, but for now, here’s their performance of my current (and highly subject to change) favorite track of the new album. Is now the time to say something snarky and uncalled for and thoroughly truthful about this being the most worthwhile thing Gilliam has done in the last decade or more? Okay, consider it said.
