McGuff
I have to say, while I fully expect Kate to win tonight, Merryl Streep at 4:1 odds were just a little too sweet for me to pass up on. I am rooting for Winslet for her body of work, but should be a payday if I’m wrong.

I like how a 33 year old actress is considered overdue for an Oscar. I know she’s awesome and has been since 1994, but she’s still a kid! She’s been my favourite actress since then but I’d rather she win for something else (same as when Clooney won – probably my favourite actor, but I was still annoyed he won in supporting).
come on Bill Maher. Kate Winslet can’t help being oscar-worthy in pretty much everything she does. this is a stupid, superficial assessment of another amazing performance from her.
