is the nolan/ledger picture a shopped picture?
also, a clint/angelina picture might have been more relevant to the oscars than a clint picture…
My favorite is the Boyle/Patel.
I thought the Kidman/Luhrman pic was fairly stunning. And the Boyle/Patel was interesting.

Those are beautiful.
THE Diego Ortiz
sucks that the nolan/ledger pic is photoshop.
i wonder if winslet is thinking about dicaprio in that pic?
Chris
Never seen that one with Ledger before. I assume, like everyone else, that it’s photoshopped.

Ledger’s dead. The composite is a haunting illusion. A tastefully done tribute.
Matthew
I love the Nolan/Ledger composite. That distance between them gives the photo a very interesting composition. Also am a big fan of the Boyle/Patel shot.
i love the ledger/nolan shoot.
it’s a beautiful tribute… the picture of him is from 2005.
love it!!!!
Michael Rogers
I know this sounds weird and a little creepy, but the Ledger/Nolan shot makes me feel like he is still here. I mean this is the sorta thing we would have seen if he were… makes me sad.
@Jim: I agree. If they couldn’t go with that, I’d love to see Shanley with all of his Oscar-nominated actors. Actually, I’d love to see ensemble shots for Milk and The Dark Knight.
I love the Boyle/Patel, Cruz/Allen, Nolan/Ledger (haunting and poignant–never mind that it was a composite), and Clint Eastwood shots (Clint’s surprised me by throwing in a ‘Bridges’ reference).
I’d love to try to connect all the photographs together, in a ‘Six Degrees of Separation’ way, but that might take a while. I’ll get back to this site, Kris, once I have it figured out. :)

They were all nice but it would have been great if they had the originality to put John Patrick Shanley with Viola Davis.
Kris…sorry…off topic…do you i”efilmcritic” is going to do there Oscar pool contest again this year??
Can’t seem to find anything about it…are you going to have a predict the oscars contest here on your site??
I love the Cruz/Allen shot. Beautiful.
Michael: No idea. But I’m sure I’ll put up a post asking for everyone’s predictions.
David Fincher is hot. His picture should be there.
I like the picture with Gus Van Sant and Sean Penn.
I like how Clint is all by himself. :)))) All you need in a movie-him doing everything.
Emily: Fincher looks older than he should these days.
Alien 3 – must have taken years off his life.
Aronofsky is Charlie Chaplin.
arronofsky is one of the greats

Angelina was probably off kidnapping some more children for her brood of soulless do-gooders.

Love (most of) these photos.
Well, Darren Aranofsky kinda looks like Christian Bale. Perhaps, the new Batman?
