I think the POLTERGEIST one is way more exploitative than the TOMMY BOY ad. At least people know Chris Farley is dead (and an adult).
This may be strange to say, but the weirdest one they’ve done is from WAYNE’S WORLD, and for two reasons:
1. They get Kim Basinger, and not Dana Carvey.
2. She looks better now than she did then.

You see, when I watch the Tommy Boy one, all I can say is: YAY, IT’S CHRIS FARLEY! It is great to see him still relevant today! The commercial’s are brilliant in my mind! The T2 spot with Robert Patrick is my favorite. I’m with David Spade on that one, I was shocked when I heard people were protesting it and it is a wonderful glimpse ay how funny he really was! Anyone who finds the Farley ad controversial needs to relax, I mean even his family was ok with the commercial!

Haha at first I thought these were legit… these are pretty funny because knowing DirecTV’s marketing I wouldn’t put something like this past them.
I still don’t see what the problem is with that “controversial” Chris Farley commercial. Can’t even really rationalize anything against it.
