Apologies for the black-out yesterday. After the Paramount panel (which I covered on Twitter, FYI), I had to jet back to LA for the Soundgarden show (easily the best concert experience I’ve had — unbelievable). But I’m going to try and write on the ride back down to San Diego this morning. For now, I’ll leave you with this shot of “Cowboys & Aliens” director Jon Favreau and Faizon Love from Thursday night’s JoBlo/Latino Review party to keep you company. More soon.

I hope Favreau makes another Made type of film soon. And cast Love in it.
Kris, will there be an article on the Tintin panel?
Looked at what you have on twitter. Your take on Super 8 is utterly simplistic and false.
I guess you simply don’t want to get past the idea you have in your mind that is not a derivative movie by design and see it for what it really is.
Which is a movie that owes FAR more to Abrams memories of his 8mm days than to his desire copy any director.
Apart from the very ending there is nothing in Super 8 that makes it any different from any of the Amblin movies of the 80s.
Sorry you’re so in the tank for Spielberg that you can’t see what’s in front of your face, Maxim. Also sorry that of all tbe Twitter coverage, you choose to bitch about that passing comment/joke.
Jon Favreau is one fat bastard!
So Soundgarden was that good huh? My buddy is a HUGE fan and was excited as hell to finally seem them live in Newark like 2 weeks ago, loved the show but said that Kim’s playing didnt seem to be in it and he was almost bored? Did you notice the same (I guess not)?
I thought Kim was shredding it.
