It’s difficult to put words to this one. Those more adept at such things will surely write the glowing appreciations the man deserves in the coming weeks. what has he been doing after he retired from journalism?
Its pathetic to think what tv news has become.
We trust our fake news pundits more than our real ones.
That’s the first time I’ve seen that clip of Walter taking off his glasses and grinning widely at someone off camera. I’m so used to seeing it in black and white, particularly Apollo 13.
Now for some reason, I can’t get Jim Carrey’s impression of him from Bruce Almighty out of my head. God help me…..;)
Crap. Supposed to say “in color” after camera in the first sentence there. Doh!
I will always remember Cronkite, taking off his glasses, looking solemn, notifying us of the assassination of JFK. It was very moving.
Walter must have been disguisted by the revolting hate mongering that has taken over our airwaves. The worst thing to happen to this country is the 24 hr cable news/slanted opinion cable channels. They sell hate and people are buying it big time.
