The Dark Knight deserved the Producers’, clear as day. The more this film is snubbed because of ‘traditional voting patterns’ (“But it’s a sequel and its prequel wasn’t a nominee! It’s a superhero film and they are never nominated! It earned too much money/It didn’t earn enough money! No film released in July, but not on a night of the full moon WAS EVER NOMINATED BEFORE! AAAAH”), the more I start sounding like a fanboy. Damnit.

At this point, it’ll be an upset if Slumdog Millionaire doesn’t win Best Picture.

Any chance of suspense in the race evaporated last Thursday as soon as Frost/Nixon was announced after The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
