What was the point of this post? To insult the fillmakers or to point out that people ignored the film in theaters?
You failed to mention that film has already grossed $29.6M overseas on a $6.2M budget.
Also, the film has only received an Oscar-qualifying domestic run that was not promoted; IFC is saving it’s money to promote the film when it opens in limited release for general audiences on Feb. 13.
Why did you not post the low Oscar-qualifying gross for Che (another film being distributed by IFC)?
I believe this was a humourous post to show that for a very brief moment in time “Gomorrah” was the highest grossing film of 2009 (due to an unupdated Box Office Mojo database I assume) and not a dig at it’s low box office.
