Sorry if this is turning into “Benjamin Button” weekend, but what else are people talking about?
Here’s a new international trailer, and I must say it’s the most coherent and full-bodied one I’ve seen so far. It’s interesting that this one places for more emphasis on the Benjamin/Daisy romance than previous efforts — particularly in light of the growing buzz around Cate Blanchett’s performance. (Seriously, why are some people surprised? She’s Cate friggin’ Blanchett — of course she’s going to be awesome.) Anyway, enjoy:

So you will drop Jolie from your chartes and replace her with Blanchett?
Is A. Hathaway that solid????
The charts on the side are Kris’ charts, not mine, Paulo.
Jolie has never been in my own Top 5, and I’ve had Blanchett in for a while. Not that I’m saying I’m right.
So is it looking like a C/Kate battle or is Cate solid enough to make this thing simple?
It’s no surprise really… Cate will be nominated.
And I really REALLY hope this doesn’t turn out to be Forrest Gump 2. I trust Fincher.
Billyboy, i actually had that same thought.
Angelina Jolie will be nominated…
Are there any locks at this stage? Personally, I think Hathaway and Jolie are a bit shaky.
