HFPA has an animated film category this year?

Am I the only one who skipped over this news? Anyway, "Happy Feet" is definitely out of the musical/comedy competition now. And gone are the days when brilliant animated films could grab a notice for Best Picture from the HFPA.

Pardon my french but, that's fucked. The HFPA were the only major awards group who would nominate stuff like Toy Story 2 (and let it WIN!) for Best Picture. Shame...
