The lineup for the 2014 Sundance Film Festival has been revealed, and it’s among the starriest in recent memory. Major Hollywood names such as Anne Hathaway, Aaron Paul, Christina Hendricks, Zoe Saldana, Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, Dane DeHaan and John C. Reilly will all appear in films unspooling at the Park City event in January.

The BAFTA Awards went down tonight in London and it’s a big moment in the race. As Guy reminded yesterday in his predictions column, the organization has tailored its process closer to the Academy’s, eliminating branch-voted winners in favor of allowing all members to vote throughout the categories. The result could be some powerful Oscar foreshadowing.

“Argo” is the story of the weekend, clearly. After coming out victorious at the PGA Awards it picked up the ensemble prize that everyone had either chalked up to “Lincoln” or “Silver Linings Playbook,” with some outliers thinking “Les Misérables” had a shot at it. Surprise!

“Lincoln” has picked up a third Best Picture critics prize, landing the Iowa Film Critics Association award for the year’s best film. Steven Spielberg, Daniel Day-Lewis and Tommy Lee Jones were also singled out for the biopic, while Jessica Chastain (“Zero Dark Thirty”) and Anne Hathaway (Les Misérables”) rounded out the acting honors.

'Lincoln' dominates North Texas film critics awards

The North Texas Film Critics Association has thrown another log on the fire for Steven Spielberg’s “Lincoln,” the film’s second critics Best Picture prize of the season. The film also won Best Director, Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor. Anne Hathaway (Best Supporting Actress) and Claudio Miranda (Best Cinematography) kept it from being a clean sweep.
