Lionsgate acquires 'Genius,' quietly amasses intriguing awards slate

Lionsgate has picked up Michael Grandage’s “Genius” at the Cannes Film Festival, and if it ends up with a 2015 release, it joins an interesting line-up of potential awards players for the studio, which hasn’t been in the thick of it since 2009’s “Precious.”
