‘Young Adult’ teaser poster

Posted by · 9:55 am · September 6th, 2011

Jason Reitman was a sadly absent from this year’s Telluride fest. His last two films, “Juno” and “Up in the Air,” both landed there as an early Sneak Preview before heading to Toronto and awards glory. But the strategy on “Young Adult” has been to stay away from peaking too early. But it’s smart to get the talk moving with a teaser poster for the film, which you can check out after the jump.

I kind of hate it… but for all the right reasons.

Definitely brings back nightmares of middle school language arts classes.

I love Jason Reitman and Diablo Cody, so I’ll be catching this movie for sure.

Very original, although I think I respect the poster (and what it’s trying to convey) more than I actually like it. Still, def one of the more anticipated movies of the fall.

I like it. Good thing most people know who Charlize Theron is. From that photo, it could be Heigl.

To me the tagline tells says everything about the film and sums up what I, along with the main character, will be feeling while the story unfolds. This is a job well done.

I like it! Charlize Theron, Diablo Cody, and Jason Reitman? I’m there. I hope it lives up to it’s potential.

It kind of reminds me of ‘The Babysitters Club’ book covers… not a bad thing though!

Since Diablo Cody’s “Sweet Valley High” will probably never get off the ground, this poster is as close as we’ll ever get.

Thanks for answering my question about YA last week Kris!

This ABSOLUTELY summons the idea of The Babysitters Club, which makes me giddy. It also has a Royal Tennenbaums’ feel to it which I like. It’s about time someone took the whole “Bad Santa/Teacher” idea and pushed it into the hands of awards caliber artists who will bring something emotional to the table.

My fav. part is how “This Holiday Season” sounds so wholesome and heartwarming.
