NAIVE question coming: is The Avengers going to be one long movie? Or two? Or what?

I can’t see how all of these Avengers are going to get their due (especially since some of them didn’t get OMG-thorough treatment within their own films). I fear for the project, but hope for something awesome.

My only question is are they retconing The Incredible Hulk because of the actor change? I thought that film was canon.

If you look at the background of each poster:

    Capt – Red Skull
Iron Man – Pepper, Whiplash, Iron Monger, Dr. Yinsen
    Black Widow – Quinjet
    Thor – Odin, Loki
Nick Fury – Agent Coulson, Agent Hill, Heli-Carrier
    Hulk – _____

    No Betty Ross, no Abomination.

I’m excited for this. Worried, but still excited. It is a big project, but the popularity of Iron Man and the good critical reception (and not too shabby box office and WOM from the public) of Thor and Captain America this summer, puts it in good footing.

Jeremy Renner/Hawkeye looks a bit bored here, and the S.H.I.E.L.D. guys seem to be posing à la Charlie’s Angels, but it looks great otherwise!

Speaking of superheroes, Kris, have you, or any reader on this site, caught the original opening of Superman Returns that’s been released online? Sorry for being late to the party but I had not seen this until today.

^ Reminds me how underrated that movie is. Singer had the balls to go quiet and poetic versus loud and bombastic.
